Currency Errors
Currency errors are the most dramatic area of paper money collecting! Just like with your printer at home, sheets of currency get smeared, torn, misprinted, overprinted, etc. Unlike your home printer mishaps, currency accidents are quickly hidden under rapidly stacking sheets rolling off the press. After 100 sheets stack, they are cut downward and bundled before any problem printings can be detected. Only after new notes are unbundled at a bank or dispensed from an ATM, do these rare and valuable errors reach the public! They’re perfectly legal to own and have become an amazing part of the paper collecting hobby!
